IN our group we have figured out or main game and how it is played (the ins and outs). Our main focus now is to get the questions ready for the game. April is doing the first section for chapter 14. Brooke is doing the second section for chapter 14, and I am doing questions based on a synopsis for chapter 15.

During this week we have made a substantial amount of progress. To start out we debated the many board and card games that have ever existed in the world. We wanted a game that would involve everyone and also allow all of our peers to be able to learn. We began by writing down many different topics form which we wanted to base our game from. WE found an original game plan that uses notecards as playing cards and took the concept from BS, Tunk, and 3 card Monty. After that we decided since I (George) had come up with the original concept, I should write the rules and regulations, and order of gameplay. Emily chose to write questions from chapter 14; and DeAngelis and Carlton would formulate questions from Chapter 15. We spent the following days writing and creating our given tasks and we have finished the background work today, the 11th of March 2009. Emily has 35 questions and answers for chapter 14, DeAngelis has written 27 questions from chapter 15, and Carlton has written 15. I have written the rules, regulations, and instructions for the game. We have been working diligently throughout this week, and have now finished it up with a VERY thorough progress report to make our instructor Mr. Omowale happy =)

Our group contains Alicia, Turhonda,Chinedu, and Tonia. Our group has divided the test into true and false and short answer questions. Turhonda has to do the short aanswer questions for chapter 15 and Chinedu has the true and false for ch. 15. Alicia has to do the short answer questions for ch.14 and Tonia has the true and false. We already have the board design laid out and the instructions typed up. We feel so accomplished!!!

Progress as of March 12, 2009
• Completion of project idea
o “Hurricane” (as derived from “Twister”)
o Game using body parts as game pieces
o Complete with a mat with different color circles and spinner with color and body part directions
• Objectives and Direction
o Use the spinner as an indicator of what card to pick up and what move to make
o The spinner has a left and right hand and right and left foot sections and each section includes red, blue, green, and yellow circles.
o When answering a question correctly you make a move as indicated on the spinner
o There are four decks of cards: red, blue, green, and yellow. Depending on which color your spinner lands on, you answer the corresponding card and you may advance with the correct answer. If you answer incorrectly you must stay in your position until your next correct answer. You may only answer once.
• Questions
o Each member assigned 19 questions and half a chapter from chapters 14 & 15.

During this week we feel like we have been successful. We have developed the overall idea for our playing cards, and created the design. We have successfully combined our questions and answers into two MS Word documents as to make it easier for Mr. Omowale to transfer them to game cards. We have also successfully attached and sent an email to Mr. Omowlae, outlining what we would like done, and attached the questions, answers, and card design for our game. To date, we have not received a confirmation email as to whether he has received our documents yet. I hope we have a rapid turnaround on the game cards so that we may test the game and work out any kinks that the game may have; and study so that we will not fail the quiz again because we are working on the project game and not studying the chapters. In addition, we have also requested of Mr. Omowale a poster board and the ability laminate, and we are waiting on a reply from that also. If there is anything that we have forgotten please do not hesitate to ask. Thanks!

This group consists of:
-->Alicia D.
-->Tonia H.
-->Turhonda W.
-->Chinedu E.

So this week, we have accomplished the questions of our game. It may not seem like much, but given that we only met twice this week its quite a lot. Each person did their necessary tasks and we talked a little bit more about the scheme of the game board.
