A New Change for America

November 4, 2008 and after January 20, 2009, The country of America will have a chance to be born again. How do you feel about Mr. President: Barack Obama's nominal feat and accomplishment? Will is change America by deterring racism, help the economy, build a bridge among races in America, bring hope to African American children or build a stronger relationship with the world? How would Michelle Obama help the image of the African American Woman? Overall, just sincerely tell me how you feel about the election of 2008. YES WE DID!!!

I Beleive He Will Lead us to a New America where in fact the problems of the today as in global warming which to me is the most important issue because the enviroment is something i truly feel for and the earth is not something i want to hurt. So I Hope He Will Fix this and his win should aslo help america in the views of racism if there are any more left today which if there are they are skin heads and Neo-Nazi's waiting for someone to come and help them

I feel that having a black president will bring a major change to the face of the USA. Ombama is a very articulate and inspiring african american, who is really going to do some very good things for our country.

I think its a historical moment for the world. I think its important that the leader of the free world be a minority.

The 2008 election of Barack Obama is phenominal! I never thought I would live to see this day. Obama has accomplished so much, and will definitely represent our country positively. I am proud of him and am glad to call him my new president.

I feel that Obama deserved to win he did attracted many people because of his views. He was able to show people that he was ready to take office in the White House. Mccain was not ready even though he had more experience than Obama he could not persuade the many race maybe because of Bush's decisions in the last 4 years.

I feel that Barack Obama has yet to arrive. His hard work has paid off for his campiagn, but the hard work is not over. His family is the ideal family for the White House. He is a phenomanal speakier and I think he will do wonders for te United States of America. He knows the danger he has to put his family and himself in everyday from now on, and I believe he has addressed that with them. He is a great man and [in my opinion] a better "prez".

I believe, as Mr. Obama has said before on several occasions it is time for change in America. Obama is a symbol of hope and guidance towards those willing to appreciate him. His eliquote words, and speaking skill, coupled with his above average intellect have shown many minorities that they can do something important in there lives. They can be somebody. They are not limited to the shackels of oppression and stereotypes brought down upon them by excentric human beings with wild ambiguous ambitions. That's how I feel anyway.

I feel that Obama will be an excellent president because he knows precisely how he wants to make a change to America, he has made hundreds of speeches which has caught eyes on millions of peoples attention.

I know he will change!!!!!GO Barack

I am very thankful that Obama won the election. I think he honestly will do his best to bring change to America and that he is the msot fit for the job.
A lot of America is still stuck in the past, and there are racist people in America today. Many people still think that white people are racist and I dont like to be fit into that category. So I am so glad that Obama won because it would be impossible for Obama to win if it were only African Americans voting for him. So I'm glad that people are starting to change, and that Obama has a chance to give people a different view on African Americans and that change will finally come to America!

BECAUSE ONCE YOU GO BLACK, YOU NEVER GO BACK !

I feel that it was a long time coming although noone can blame the white man anymore. Obama became president because he was the best for it. Not because of race. he gives hope and shows the american dream. Yes we can

He is intelligent and tenacious to get our country back on track. He will inspire this country to do better.

Yes, Obama is a great man and i do believe he will bring change that this country needs to survive but i dont think he will change the idea of racism. Let's think, in the eyes of the caucasion as a whole we came from being inferior and that is the way we will always think. you cant change it or get rid of the thought. its embedded in your mind that this persson is a different race than me so they are better than me or worse than me. now, will he change the mind of different prejudices like between countries and genders beacause of how powerful his speek is.

I think this will change America as well as the entire world. This election will change how the world views and treats America. They should have more respect for us now that the Repulicans are out of office and now we got a black male in there now. It also gives us dreams again because as I see Barack or Mr. Obama in office, I think I can do anything now.

I definitely believe he will lead the way to a better America. when he is sworn in January, America gets a fresh start, for he has changed the face of this country without even being official yet.He represents a new America. 'Joe the Plumber' is still an American view, but it's a shrinking one. Now we have soccer mom, surrogate parents, gay couple, immigrants from every corner of the world, making this new America truly diversified. Michelle Obama is revolutionizing the view of Black women as well. She stands for a sophisticated, intelligent, black woman who knows how to conduct herself in an comely manner. The old image was one of a loud, obnoxious, crude woman. That image is now being remade as the Obamas get closer to living in White House.

Obama is a very articulate, smart man who also comes with a double package of being an AFRIKAN AMERICAN!!!!!!!!! I'm glad he won so that America can go down a new path of reforms. George W. Bush has desicrated American values and nearly every aspect of American life from education to war to the economy to the environment and I wish Obama the best of luck in trying to diffuse and improve the situation that this country is in. He has managed to relate to Americans from all walks of life (excluding Neo-Nazi extremists) and is not only a beacon of hope for those of color, but also an intelligent, honorable man who did not play the "race card." I'm estactic thath Barack Obama has won the presidency election. In my opinion with Obama is office racism will never deteriorate. Reasoning for that because more than 500 years ago slavery and racist events left a psychological damage to the world to this day. I believe he could help the economic system and not only bring hope to African Americans but he will bring hope to all people. His wife is a great symbol of success. Shes show that young black women can have high power also.

Personally I'm scared for this change. I can only hope for the best. I don't think that the Republicans should have won and I did not support them but I do not support the ideas of Obama... I do hope that he does bring change but I won't believe it until I see it....

Having Barack Obama as the next U.S. president is very historic. Quite frankly, it doesn't matter whether or not he's black or white. As long as he does his job in the White House and leads the country to economic prosperity, he will be always be remembered as a great president.

Anonymous said...

I don't feel it should matter if Barack Obama Is muslim? It shouldn't matter. People are so caught up on his "melanin" even black people. Some just voted for him because he was black. Maybe if some of us took the opportunity to find background on candidates, and actually research why they want this person to be in this position we could actually come to some sort of compromise. Having Barack Obama as president will not only bring hope to every day working people, it will also bring hope to the teenager who is not quite old enough to vote, but is watching and understanding what is going on in the world

Obama being elected as president, is the start of a change. I think it changes the views and stereoptypes of the black community not only for other races but for blacks themselves. We are no longer the underdog and maybe this will cause african-americans to take more pride in what they do and to have higher expectations for themselves. Michelle Obama is the perfect example of a strong, african-american woman. She supports her husband as his equal- which is how it should be. She's like the Oprah of the white house! Lol In his speech he stated that he is not the change but he is the Chance to make the change. I can not wait to experience the new change Obama promises to bring forth.

Anonymous said...

First off...the slogan is Yes We CAN!! But on a serious note I do believe that Barack as president has changed America forever. Having a black president has only been a dream for many African Amercians but nobody saw it as a soon to be reality. It is really historic and even if a black man wasn't president the next term, Obama still created higher standards and young African Americans everywhere. I also do think hat having BLACK man in the WHITE House will bridge together races involuntarily. (They might even change the name to The House. or The President's House, before the year 2050 because it is no longer limited. I am very emotional about Obama being president becasue, even though I didn'nt get the chance to vote, I am still witnessing history in the making. I will be able to tell my kids and grandkids that I saw the first black president get into office.

Electing Barack Obama shows that America is ready for change. His campaign and platform was perfect and exactly what we needed to hear and happen. If if he was not black he is still the most qualified candidate and im very happy that America did the correct thing and voted him in. It was as if the Lord himself put his hands on this election because there were no significant problems with the polls, no riots, or fights; just a clear focused America, set on electing Barack Obama as President of the greatest nation in the world. We needed this and I am happen for this end result. I am also happy that black people now feel included in America and now participate in saying the pledge and have a sense of patriotism. I expect to see Barack Obama to do amazing and be one of the few candidates to actually do what he said and put America back on top. I believe that with this pick of President, America will quickly come back on top and the next decade or so will be a great time of rehabilitation and success for America. And eventually America will no longer see color, but see the well qualified candidate. OBAMA, YES WE DID. IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE.

p.s. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAMIEN!!!

Obama's victory was the people's victor . He, of course, changed the ideas of Black people and minorities and general. It raises the bar for the expectations of black people. He has now got to live up to his claims as black people have to live up to a new higher standard. African American women have always been portrayed as a people of excess and extreme- always in drama, oversexed, undersexed and/ or overly ignorant("Mammy"). They have to have their hands on their hips, shaking their fingers, rolling their eyes and their necks and snapping fingers with an attitude. Michelle Obama I feel can change that, but because of how the media portrays her, I can see it as her being called the "bitch" because of her strong views and ethics. Nonetheless, she is very powerful and inspirational to young african- american women or just women in general.

Anonymous said...

First off, it is YES WE CAN!! Not did..lol anyways. I am proud of Obama and his phenomenal feat, I am proud of Michelle being a strong African American woman supporting her husband, but most of all, I am proud of the American citizens. The fact that a Black man can become president is proof that America is changing for the better. Yes, he ran a strong campaign and persevered through common hatred. Also to see that he had the support of so many Caucasians was empowering to our race. The minority has risen..YES WE CAN!

Barack Obama is a name that will forever be signed into history, not only because he is half-black, but because he has promised our nation a totally new era of thinking. We used to see America as a place were things should stay the same, but now it is clear that over 60% of the nation believes in change in our economy, our lifestyle, and our overall thinking. This is election could not have came at a better time. I am 17 years old and this will affect me and my peers the most. My kids, grandkids, and great-grand kids will know that I lived just at a time where change was the most noticiable and needed.

As well as Barrock Obama, showing that anything is possible for African American males. This elections was the best, im proud that i followed up on it and i can say that i followed President Barrock Obama's campaign.

I think Barrack Obama and his wife will be a huge inspriation to everyone in the world. I say this because most people may think "Well if a black man who started with nothing can achive the highest postiton in the world. Then why can't i acheive my own dreams?" Since he first started Barrack has been a great inspiration to myself and any others because when he started his campaign he didn't use the race card as a crutch like most people (Jesse Jackson the castrater) he used his past as inspirtation and his past as a senator as stepping stairs to climb his way into the white house. This will change the voice of the average african american from "The white man's holdin me down won't let me get a job or start a bussiness!" His election will change the world in more than what we can see already.
Not many people can truly see the future but I pray that he can finally bring the world together.

May his life and term be filled with prosperity and peace.

History has been made. By gaining the role as the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama has opened many doors and opportunites to African-American attaining roles in political parties. He has also shown children that it does not matter what family environment you were raised in or what color of skin you are, but if you truly set out to reach a goal you would achieve. Racism would always exist. Nothing is going to change that.
As First Lady, Michelle Obama should be an icon to every women. Women should not be looked down upon and are not subjected to man. One day there will be a female president. It's just a matter of time.

I think that this is a great accomplishment of his and that he will lead us into a new future. Michelle Obama is tall statuesque, and a soon to be role model for all young women, especially african american. But i think Obama will bing America's debt down and be a great president, but i can bet no republican will take him seriously until he proves himself.

Well what is done is done and I think that as long as Mr. Presidet(Obama) does all he can to help us in our difficult time now I'm happy and satysfied. I also believe that his accomplishment will encourage people of every race, religion, and status to strive to be who they want to be and not let anyone stop them.
On the subject of racism, I am hopeful that it will improve now that barriers and stereotypes that have been around for the longest time such as, the white man is the only one that can hold power, have been broken. It will also cause inspiration and encouragement to other minorities around the world. Overall I am content and happy of America's progress and am curious to see what this change will bring.

Barack Obama becoming President has removed a lot of excuses for not succeeding in the African American community and has shown us that there is no limit to what you can achieve in this world. Until now, there was an unspoken, unattainable level of success for African Americans.

In the corporate world, that unattainable level of success is called a "glass ceiling"...you can only go so far in a corporation while watching your Caucasian counterparts advance in their careers. The "glass" represents being able to see beyond what is behind it but not being able to break through it. The "glass" also represents being able to watch as others move upward while you are not able to follow because of your gender or race.

President-elect Obama has broken that ceiling for all of us. He has shown us that there are NO EXCUSES.
