How and Why is Trade important to the World & History?

Use you knowledge of the world and history to elaborate on this question and either concur or disagree with a classmate's response.

Would the WWW serve as the same prupose as the known Silk Trade Route? What exchanges would be used to support your statement? Could items or exchange during the Silk Trade Route Still be used today? If yes, explain. If not, tell my why?

Trade is important to the World & history because it shaped history itself. Culture would never have flourished and prospered as it has been if it were not for societies trading with goods and ideas with one another. Religions like Islam and Buddhism were spread along the Silk Road, and they spread out further with time. Trade has been the cause of wars and times of peace. Trade is the also one of the main things keeping our countries afloat now even in modern times.

Trade helped people to get goods and services they lacked. Without trading, many nations wouldn't have the goods they needed to keep their empire running smoothly.

In order for ideas to spread the original idea was traded among other people until it became world known. Over time the ideas were revised and we progressed.

Trade is important because it allows us to understand each other better. It also helps us advance in our way of life. We dont have all of the ideas so we piggy back oof each other. that is hat trade is used for. It aslo allows us to obtain things that are not avaible to us by our methods

Yes the silk trade can be used as the world wide web because many people from different countries traveled on this road to trade items with other traders. For example for the world wide web is knowledge could be exchange such as facts, opinions, also theory. I also agree that things from the silk road still can be used today. Certain commodities such as silk, spices, is still trade in today's modern world. Whereas religion wise all religions in my opinion has been spreaded already.

Trade is important to the world history because if you need something that someone else have and they need something that you have you can trade things so that you can get things and they can to.It is very true because I learned it its a well writin fact.

Without trade different people wouldn't have met. Their goods and ideas wouldn't have spread. Without those goods empires would have fallen before their time.

Trading is a very important factor. It is important because it has helped us exchange ideas that we use in today's world. Also, without trade, different ideas and religions could not be exchanged to other societies, and we would'nt have some of the technoligical resources that we use today. This makes trading important to the world. We also, still today trade all around the world.

Antwione said...

The trade was imporant to the world because it gave exposure to the people like religions such as Buddhism and Islam and it helped trade ideas throughout the world. And thats why its imporant

Adrian Scott said...

Trade is important to the world and history because it connected and mixed different cultures together. It also spread certain religions, such as Christianity and Islam, to other regions of the world. Trade can start wars and start friendships with people from other parts of the globe.

Trade is important to history, and our world because trade is how ideas, religions, and cultures are, and were exchanged. It's how people were able to learn different things, and its how ideas that were the same, but in time, was eventually altered became similar concepts, but still based off of the same thing. Why is trade important, is an obvious question. To create different concepts, based off of the same original idea, is how many things were created. It helps us as modern day people, recieve, and send goods, that makes life easier for us.

Yes i Believe the World Wide Web is our version of the Silk Trade Route. on the internet we buy things we trade infomation and entertainment and we get to know each other, we share our way of life with one another just like the did on the Silk Trade Route

It also helps our societies improve, and also help everyone to come together to share ones ideas, thoughts religions around the world. It helps us learn more about our history and other countries itself. This helped us with many things that helped us expand on our ideas, and philosophies like Buddhism and Islam.

Que Pasa Paloma? :) what do you mean by religion has spread already? In my opinion, it never stops spreading. All the kids being born into the world, do their parents just no teach them religion?

May you please elaborate on your comment. I'm kind of slow and would appreciate if you can give me some examples

No, because the internet is completely different then the known Silk Trade Route. Other than the fact that they are both a way for information to be shared. I don't think I can imagine Genghis Khan in front of his computer blogging and buying things on eBay. Sure, they are very similar, and in a way I suppose that you can see the Silk Road as a primitive for of the world wide web.

Of course that items that were traded during the silk trade route are still used today. If you thought different, then tell me. You have seen silk and jade and other semi-precious gems, haven't you?

Moira Charles said...

It also helps the economy too

Replying to Nyende when did the silk road trade entertainment?

Trade is important to the world and history because without the travellers spreading their information, it would not reach everyone in the future. The way people met on the silk trade route allowed them to exchange ideas, and take them back to their empires or homeland, and those people kept the ideas in their families, and also let them spread to other places. Without those ideas, Christianity and Buddhism and other religions would not exist because they would not spread, and some of the resources they had in China reached other areas because of this trade. The main reason it was important was to spread ideas and keep them going for the future generations.

trade is a simple measure but it's very useful. why do i say these because it helped people learn from different Empire. if they did not have many sources you can help out with your source of food.

If you were a king, would you give food to a neighboring country? Who would proably take you over in the future?

Hola A'leyah. I agree with your vindication. Yes I believed that trade had a major part of buliding today's modern socities. But I disagree with your statement towards " religions like islam and buddhism were spread along the silk road and they spread out further time". Yes that is true but I believe you shouldnt give all the credit to the silk road of expansion of these world religions. I believe that religions spread also by conquering of certain empires. Also missionaries also help spread religions world wide. I but I admire your statement.

Trade is imortant because it diffuses culture, and can advance other ideas, further, and allow people to be open minded and view things in a new way, never thought of before. It is very imporant to the world because this allows ideas, good, and religions, to be diffused from all over the world. Trade is important to history in general because some ideas, religions, or goods traded, may be looked uon years later. The WWW would essentially serve the same purpose as the Silk Trade route; it allows information and ideas to be exchanged through many forms of media (such as blogs, articles, etc.) and has now come to the point where it is used to purchase luxury goods. The trade of gold on the Silk Trade Route would be the equivalent of one buying jewelry on the internet; however, the trade of ideas can be limited to stoic accounts of events and beliefs of others and lacks the personal interaction that occured on the Silk Trade route. Items exchanged on the Silk Trade Route still retain their value today; goods such as gold, jade, silk, and ivory are still symbols of luxury. The exchange of ideas and languages is taken for granted now, because of its availability. However, spices are not needed as

DancingQtee said...

to Moira, what kind of things did the people along the silk road trade? how did they get to the people? you have to elaborate, because of course we know there are written facts.

Jasmine I agree with what you are saying. Ideas spread over different areas and they are transformed to fit the personality and lifestyle of that individual.

The internet would serve the same purpose, and here is why partner. You see with the silk road, people traded with others to get what they wanted, DUH. Anyway, the same thing applies with the internet. Have you ever went to a website where you maybe traded something , well anyway if you haven't there are websites where you do these things. So as you can see the sil trade trade route and the internet are the same. Oh and i forgot, trade is important because it founded what is today. What i mean by that is if we hadn't trade with mexicain people we wouldn't have spices and things. Another thing we wouldn't have if we didn't trade with african people is the different kinds of fruits. For example I read in the book the world that created trade, it talked about trade. It said something like trade started it all, well something lke that. Well goodbye,au revoir, chao.

The silk trade route in which many diffrent areas such as china Rome, etc. Used to transport diffrent economic sources as vegetables ,gold ,iron ,fruits,.It has involved diffrent countries to communicate with other country ideas. It is important to trade amoung us and others are concept of are history .culture, live living. We all help and try to undertstand others. We communicate and learn other customes in which we have never experience before.

I believe the world wide web is kinda like the silk trade route in which people learn about others and communicate share infarence ,interact amoung others. In the world wide web people trade items such as books.movies,etc.Some for exchange for money .We all interact back then and still today as a everyday process.

The Punts seem to be Ethiopians, beause the information said that the Punts may have been located in the Southern Sudan or the Eritrean region of Ethiopia, but then you cant really tell because the information wasnt sure of. There isnt accurate information to really classify who the Punts were.
